Mania Retreating

You feel like chips of dried peeled paint. Then the wrinkles smooth out, the cracks knit and the suppleness of the liquid returns. I added one capsule of lithium to my daily regimen and already I am feeling my stability returning.

It’s all part of the life, the new life that I have pursued these last several months. Each day, I trust my feelings more and more. They tell me how I am. They suggest where I need to consider action or reserve.
