An agnostic is a man (or woman) watching the perennial confrontation of religionists and atheists while sitting in the grass. The agnostic listens a little bit to the storm of invective, then picks himself a blade of grass. He looks at it from all angles, enjoys those colors and veins which could serve as choristers in a symphony by Mahler, and declares “God or no God. This is splendid.”
