Aortal – Electric Bugaloo

Posted on October 17, 2002 in Aortal

I’ve been a supporter of the InterNet as “folk revolution” as long as I have had an email account (since 1988). Aortal.com is not a network or a portal, but a movement of bloggers who, each week, promote another blog. This is the fourth in a Thursday series. I encourage others to do the same.

Electric Bugaloo houses Mikey of the Round Head who I featured in a Paths of Light photo spread a few weeks ago. If you’re looking for a blog which is utterly unlike this one, Mikey satisfies your need. MikeyWithThePornChicksOnHisBlog (as he now requests friends to call him) writes a voyeur’s view of life in the gyms and workplaces of San Diego.

Women taking up a relationship with Mikey should expect minimal privacy. We know from his blog, for example, that he was greeted at the door by his friend Ilsa, who wore only a towel. The blog has also given voice to a former girlfriend of his named Wendy who wrote a few articles about how he’d been neglecting her. (Talk about openness!) But even Mikey has his limits: he didn’t press the issue when the cute blonde at the gym proved to be married and he won’t reveal the name of the female who said “I can’t believe I let you see me naked.”

Probably the only blogger I know who goes into more detail about his sex life is wKenShow. Mikey offers a measured amount of prurience coupled with terse observations about his adventures on the net and in meatspace. I don’t read him for profundity, but for a laugh. (And I’m betting that he doesn’t read this blog all that much, but what cool dude does?)
