Ashes and Cynicism

Posted on February 10, 2006 in Disasters

square100Over the ridge, hotshots douse the last remnants of the Sierra Fire. Bored firefighters may be toasting marshallows and barbecuing mahi-mahi steaks over the embers which never should have been. Our bold Orange County Register which never allows a scandal that reflects badly on a Republican Administration to stand has done its best to help the local USFS officials make excuses for the county’s largest goof so far into 2006. Yes, God bless the Register. It keeps cronyism alive and well in Orange County.

It’s for people who have money to burn.

Meanwhile, at midnight, the skies to the northwest are dark. Lot of hard work for those firemen. Lot of hard, unnecessary work.

TDG grumbled about the control fires, too.
