Climate Change Denial

If I were to claim that the piles of papers and books that trip you up when you visit my condo were the result of an outside force, you’d laugh at me. Certainly, you’d point to my book-buying habits and sloppiness and rightly so. So why is it that we keep giving global warming skeptics “one more chance” and “one more chance”? I find them as skeptical as people who don’t want to believe that they are related to apes, monkies and lemurs. Or who hold that the evidence for a round planet does not explain our horizons or the satellites spinning around the earth.

To expect that the sun is the cause of our current weather conditions strikes me as yet another way of attempting to blame God. The sun is huge and we are small, the reasoning goes. So the gigantic hurricanes must be due to external forces, not our messiness and fuel consumption habits. No, that cannot be.

Unfortunately there is a new study that shows that activity on the sun can’t be responsible for global climate change.

Expect that at any moment, the mileposts will pushed out so that this study can be unsafely ignored.
