Morbid Thoughts

I spent much of yesterday wondering about what happens to the life force when we die. Energy cannot be destroyed, but what happens to ours? How come no reputable scientists have attempted to observe this?

No answer except the usual platitudes. Hoping for a parallel dimension which takes our souls and gives back energy. Or maybe just a long long silence.
