Here’s another gem committed by an undiagnosed, nonbipolar: in a fit of road rage, a Florida man allegedly attacked another motorist with a .32 Beretta and a pair of antlers. According to the police report, the driver:
…got out of his truck with antlers in his hand and unsucessfully tried to smash his left side passenger window. [The driver] also tried to hit him with the antlers. [He] moved into another lane and tried to get the vehicle’s license plate….the driver smashed into his jeep and took off. [The victim] followed the red truck to Star Avenue….[T]he truck was pulled into a yard and before he knew it, the driver of the red truck shot into the windshield of his jeep. [The victim] said he took off and went into the parking lot of Walgreens and drove around trying to stop but the accelerator was stuck open and he finally was able to safely get the vehicle to stop without causing an accident.
As sure as papers will flag even the smallest infraction by a Muslim, you can know for certain that had Ronny White been bipolar, this would have been shoved to the first paragraph and mentioned in the headline. No one says “normal man attacks another with antlers.” That is not a story, even though in this day and age, it qualifies as a “man bites dog” item. Perhaps too many men are biting dogs for this to interest the press.
