Kevin says that mundane activities can be interesting….Here’s a sample of my typical thoughts while transferring material within City of the Silent:
“OK. {click} Bring it up. Right click. {click} View Source. {clicking sound common to cut and paste operations.} Where’s that data entry box? Put it there. Who is this guy again? Check spelling. Yeah. Now change that
to
. Change the
to
. Go to the top. Go to the end of the line. Put
there. Down to the very end. Put
there. Encyclopedia: Anwfn. Save. OK. Next one.” {Go back to the beginning and repeat ad nauseum. Fantasize about watching fanged Aztec gods with tentacles having lunch at the White House.}
Kind of like a Phillip Glass piece when you repeat it often enough isn’t it? I wonder: Suppose I could interest him in a new opera called Joel Sax Doing Data Entry on His Computer?
