It’s like a heat wave
Burning in my heart
Can’t keep from crying
It’s tearing me apartYeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah oh oh (heat wave)
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
oh (heat wave)Linda Ronstadt
I bought a new Camelbak today, having decided that it is more important to have an adequate source of water rather than an ipod full of tunes. (Lynn was encouraging me towards the latter for reasons I do not fathom.) My new Rim Runner cost me over $90. I plan to break it in tomorrow by hiking to one of my favorite views. It’s not much of a journey, but enough to put a little roughness on the soles of my boots.
For the past few days, the Weather Service has been forecasting record temperatures “in two or three days”. First, the hot weather was due tomorrow and was supposed to reach 91 degrees. Then it moved back to Monday for 90 degrees. Now it’s still due on Monday, but weather analysts say that it should get to about 88 degrees. I am hoping for more adjustment. 70 degrees would suit me just fine.
