I never thought I’d see myself writing this, but Henry Kissinger’s announcement that he cannot head the 9-11 Investigative Committee because of conflicts-of-interest impressed me with his integrity and honesty.

And what about Trent Lott? “I’m sorry that I got caught saying what I thought, but I am not going to resign.”
