I was taken by Robert Ellsberg’s depiction of today’s feast as not one that merely recalls premature deaths, but the deaths of those who die for a cause no more evil than a desire for self-determination and a loving community. I remark: “it is a celebration of the life of any innocent who has died at the hands of tyrants, pursuing or merely suspected of pursuing, the cause of liberty and personal conscience”. You can read my article at City of the Silent.
After having read this, I wonder: will Karen Zipdrive add this to her personal calendar?
