I paid a visit to my endodontist this morning. His new assistant, Ray, stuck a tiny toothpick into the gum behind the blister and then took the ultrasound. Dr. Morrison has a setup whereby he can view the results on a workstation. Number 30’s roots looked good except for a slow healing area at the base of the rearmost one. The fistula grew in a blackish area between the roots: it’s not his problem, so he’s sending me back to my periodontist, Dr. Dornan, for further therapy.
Shannon said that there was no charge for this visit. I thanked her and sincerely told her that I looked forward to seeing her and the rest of the staff again. I pointed to the door. “Somewhere out there.”
I’m in no pain, even after the poking and prodding of the blister.
