Sinking the Propaganda Boats

Ever notice how when the last explanation for why we should go to war in Iraq fails to move the public that the war propaganda machine comes up with another? Now they are saying that Saddam Hussein put all his weapons of mass destruction on three cargo ships just before the inspectors arrived.

How these got past the US blockade is a mystery, but if we’re so darned sure, why not just capture the three boats? Then Saddam won’t have the weapons of mass destruction that we claim as the reason why we must invade. They’re not in Iraq in the first place, right?

Now that this trial balloon has been shot down with this blogly peashooter of mine, can you rest assured that it won’t make it to CNN? Not if GWB really wants to use it.

All sigh. Nothing but Jingo Bells all the year through, no matter how many times we spoil Georgie’s black oil Christmas with facts and reason.
