If I can draw a general inference from the size of the crowds at Souplantation this evening, more and more people are turning off their television and spending their evenings away from the “shock and awe” of our rapine penetration into Bagdhad. When I turned an ear to eavesdrop, people were talking about their childrens’ homework, business deals, and life matters. For tonight, at least, they attuned their minds to matters other than the one-sided gladitorial games in the Middle East.
It’s hitting people that war isn’t a football game.
When I came home from eating and shopping, I overheard Tim’s television set. He was watching game shows.
