Name Game

Posted on October 4, 2002 in Whimsies

Others complain that the descriptions don’t fit them or the people they know with the names, but the laws of random chance enabled these New Age pundits/racketeers to strike pretty close in their description of me. Perhaps they have been reading my blog?

Untreated Mental Illness

Paranoia is a mental illness. I open the news web sites and there it is, resident in the White House and spreading down to the population.

The problem is not anger, frustration, or despair: it is what we do with it. Do we shut it away and act as if it is not so? I think not.

Bobbi’s writing is worthy of modeling in that she eschews the use of InterNewSpeak for intimate inner portraiture.

A Caption for wKenShow

Posted on October 2, 2002 in Myths & Mysticism Pointers

I suggested this as a caption for a picture posted by wKenShow:

Jeremiah 14: 14-16

“Then Yahweh said to me, ‘The prophets are prophesying lies in my name; I have not sent them, I gave them no orders, I never spoke to them. Delusive visions, hollow predictions, daydreams of their own, that is what they prophesy to you. Therefore, Yahweh says this: The prophets who prophesy in my name when I have not sent them, and tell you there will be no sword or famine in this land, these same prophets are doomed to perish by sword and by famine. And as for the people to whom they prophesy, they will be tossed into the streets of Jerusalem, victims of famine and the sword, with not a soul to bury them: neither them nor their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters. I will pour down on them their own wickedness.”

A reference to Dostoevsky’s Grand Inquisitor may also be fit here.

I do not support this adventure, regardless

Posted on October 2, 2002 in Peace

The blame for the evil that this adventure is sure to bring rests on its promoters. I am prepared to forgive, but they shall still be held accountable. I shall strive to see them removed and forever prevented from holding office in our future nation of the free.
