Just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse, I find out through Luminous that Ratzinger has become the new pope. I shouldn’t be too surprised. After all, John Paul II spent years tailoring the College of Cardinals so that they would elect just such a candidate. Perhaps Cardinal Law will become head of the Curia? Who knows. Here’s an inside scoop on what took place in the conclave.

This is not the end of the world. Still, I am sad that I probably will not live to see its redemption.
