We were keeping elephants in our backyard. One of them was getting very naughty. The bad elephant’s name was Phyllis. When I outside, she tried to stomp on me. She tried to get into the house. I shut the door so she couldn’t follow me and checked on her by looking over the fence from the front yard. She sulked. Our cats begged to go outside into the yard. I tried to prevent them, but they slipped past me when I opened the door to throw the elephants a couple of bales of hay. The cats managed to avoid being stomped on when she chased them all over the yard. I let them back inside. Lynn came home and I said “You know what your silly cats did? I can tell you this: they’re glad to be back in the house.”
The grass in the back yard was black and rough. The elephants had stomped ice blue holes in the turf.
