1. The other night, I dreamed that my father stole my pale green Volkswagen Beetle — a car I drove a long time ago, back in North Carolina. I walked out of the parking lot of my high school and ended up next to a Spanish style fountain. My brother came to kidnap me. He fastened a black handcuff to my wrist. Many people grabbed my other arm and pulled against him. The police came. He had a friend on the force, but they arrested him.
2. Today I dreamed that I lived in an apartment done in shattering neon red and purple tones. The bathroom had two showers. It also opened onto an indoor shopping mall. I discovered that one of my showers was being used by a strange woman who lived in the mall. I took her in, allowed her to share my soft bed. She looked like she was pregnant but her best friend told me that she was rotting through with a venereal disease.

This isn’t a call for revolution: just a statement that I am an individual.
