The Dark Has A Fierce Voice

For the last few weeks, winter has had a different cycle. The rain falls, usually hard, on one day. Then the wind sweeps the wetness off the pavement that same night and blows for a day or two. Finally, it becomes calm for a couple of days before the rain falls.

I haven’t seen these winter [[Santa_Ana_wind|Santa Anas]] before. Right now, the dark has a fierce voice that rumbles the rafters and makes the windows whine.
